Effective September 30, 2026. Developer: Bogdan Shoyat.
The short version
- GAPJACK has no accounts and no sign-in. The developer runs no server for the game and does not collect, receive or sell your personal data.
- Your progress and stats stay on your device.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect some data to show and measure ads, described below.
- Purchases are processed by Apple. The developer never sees your payment details.
Data on your device
GAPJACK saves your best walls and score, games played, lifetime walls, BLUR count, fastest ten walls, Daily Gauntlet results and streaks, your skins and skin trials, and your settings (sound, haptics, calm motion) on your device. It also remembers whether you have seen the tutorial and whether you own Remove Ads.
This data is not sent to the developer. Deleting the app deletes it.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of GAPJACK uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK from Google. The app uses these ad formats:
- Banner ads: on the home screen.
- Interstitial ads (full screen): may show when you leave a finished run with Again or Home: at most every 3rd finished run, not before your 3rd run of a session, not in the first 30 seconds after launch, at least 90 seconds apart, and not after a new personal best or a BLUR.
- Rewarded ads (optional, you choose to watch one for a reward): optional: continue once after a run ends (not in the Daily Gauntlet), or try a locked skin for 3 runs.
According to Google's App store data disclosure page for iOS (last updated 2026-09-29 per Google, retrieved 2026-09-30), the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate the general location of a device.
- Non-user related crash logs, used to diagnose problems and improve the SDK, and possibly for advertising and analytics.
- User-associated performance data such as app launch time, hang rate or energy usage, which may also be used for displaying ads, including sharing with other entities that display ads.
- A device ID, such as the advertising identifier or other app- or developer-bounded device identifiers, which may be used for third-party advertising and analytics.
- Advertising data, such as ads you have seen, used for analytics and advertising features.
- Other product interactions, such as app launch taps and video views, used to improve advertising performance.
Google processes this data under its own policies: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Consent and tracking
- Google consent form: before ads load, the app asks Google's User Messaging Platform whether a consent form is required where you are. If it is, the form asks for your choices. When your region requires it, a Privacy Options button appears in the game's Settings so you can review or change your choices at any time.
- App Tracking Transparency: after the consent step, iOS shows Apple's prompt asking whether GAPJACK may track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the app cannot access your device's advertising identifier (Apple documentation). You can change this any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- No ads: the one-time Remove Ads purchase stops banner and interstitial ads, and continues and skin trials no longer need an ad. The Google Mobile Ads SDK still starts in the app, so the consent and tracking choices above still apply.
Purchases
Remove Ads is a one-time (non-consumable) in-app purchase. It is processed by Apple through the App Store under Apple's terms. The developer receives no payment details. To restore it on a new device, open Settings in the game and tap Restore Purchases.
Children
GAPJACK is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Ads and the data Google may collect are described above. If you believe a child's data was collected through the app, contact support@boggyapps.com and we will help you reach Google about it.
Your rights
Because the developer holds no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. To remove the game's on-device data, delete the app. For data Google collected for ads, use the consent and tracking choices above and Google's controls described in the Google Privacy Policy. Questions are always welcome at support@boggyapps.com.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Contact: Bogdan Shoyat, support@boggyapps.com.
